How do i save a picture from mms received on Xperia X10 Mini?

Q. I have received a pic via mms, but cant seem to move it into an album, or even put on my laptop via usb connection!!! Help!!!

A. Hi Tink, on the bigger version of the X10 you can do a long press to save the picture but on the mini, you cannot save pictures from an MMS due to the limitations of the Android OS.

There are 2 ways around this.

The first
1.download the app handcent sms from the android market.(free)
2.open the app and your messages are displayed.
3.select a message with a picture in it
4.touch and hold the picture til you see a list of options appear.
5 select copy attached to SD card.
The picture is saved to gallery.

Now from your home screen press the left menu key (4 squares) and select arrange icons.
Scroll to the app and replace the original messaging icon in the corner with the app.
Now you will receive 2 notifications when you recieve an sms.to stop this happening goto phone settings/sony ericsson application settings/messaging/ and untick notifications.

The other way around the problem is to forward the MMS to your email so you can save it from there. If you have mms as part of your network package and an e-mail account then you can click on the photo > Forward Message > Select Recipient > New Conversation> Add Recipient >enter your e-mail address > send.

Which would be the best choice between an Ipad 2 or the Asus Transformer?
Q. I am a college student. I have a Dell studio laptop which works perfectly at home. I just need something a little more portable for class and days I am on campus all day.

A. iPad 2 vs ASUS Eee Transformer

iPad 2 Advantages:

IPads have a higher degree of fit-and-finish than the competition. Like iPhones vs other smart phones, iPods vs other MP3 players, or Macs vs PC's, iPads are widely regarded as being more refined and polished than the competition. iPad also has a large and refined App Store (although Android Market is closing the gap).

iPad 2 Disadvantages:

1. No Flash.
2. No SD expansion; no HDMI port; no USB port.
3. ASUS Eee Transformer has a better display (10.1 inch, 1280x800, IPS vs 9.7 inch, 1024x768, IPS).
4. iPad's camera resolution is a lousy 0.7 MP.
5. Expensive.

If you'd like an Android tablet with an even better display than the iPad 2, with a good array of ports (mini HDMI, SD, micro SD), with better cameras, at a lower price, and with a slick dock/keyboard option, choose the ASUS Eee Transformer (TF101).

If you like Apple's legendary fit-and-finish or want the most (some would argue the best) app choices, choose the iPad 2.

How extensive is Blackberry's Internet service?
Q. as in...can you pretty much go on any site like a iPhone? orr are there limitations to certain sites? im interested in buying one not just for email but to use as a mini laptop...well...not really but you get what i mean...internet on the go...

A. Like all mobile phones, your are extremely limited when browsing the web. Blackberry's are very limited, as they are not made for browsing the web, though you can use an Opera or Bolt browser to get higher quality browsing (about the same as iPhone safari, minus some flash support). I would recommend either an Android OS or Windows Mobile OS phone to browse the web with.

ALL non windows mobile phones are not able to access websites with a stable flash player (Youtube, Hulu, Facebook games such as Cafe World or Farmville etc.), because Skyfire (http://www.skyfire.com) has not been released to any other type of phone except phones with Windows Mobile operating systems.

For internet on the go, I suggest just getting a 3G internet card, or a 4G internet card if your with Sprint, to browse the web on the go with a laptop.

If you only wanted to use the internet on a Blackberry to search for things like... a phone number to a Tuxedo rental store, then I do feel a Blackberry is a smart choice because of it's productivity app capabilities (Google Mobile, Poynt etc.)
