Q. I am getting a new mobile phone and I can't decide between two, the sony ericsson satio and the samsung s8000 jet. Both have good and bad points, I have seen a samsung jet working before, it has three home screens, easy menus, good games and a 5mp camera, it is also a great size and fits easily into a pocket. I have never seen a sony ericsson satio working but it has three colours, a 12mp camera and a camera cover but it is quite large.
I don't know which one to pick, please only answer if you have one of these mobile phones,
Thank you
What are all of the pros and cons of each? What problems do they have?

A. And you're still confused? Just by looking at the phones the Satio wins hands down! The phone looks stylish and sleek especially with the reflective silver at the sides which is WAY cool. I honestly hate the Jet's design. And 12MP with Xenon flash vs 5MP?!! Come on! SE's really good when it comes to camera quality and sound quality. Plus the Satio's user interface looks more awesome with flashy animations with sleek looking interface. The Satio has a faster processor and has a graphics chip too which makes it WAY WAY better. The Satio also runs on Symbian which is really useful while the Jet doesn't even have an OS. Satio also has way faster 3g. The Satio also has a larger screen than Jet does. So, there's really a HUGE difference and if I were you I would sooo go with Satio without even thinking twice as the Satio is an Entertainment Unlimited phone and will surely keep you entertained. The camera will really come in handy and video recording is said to be good. Plus, you'll enjoy watching movies with the larger screen and listen to music. And that awesome UI is just so awesome!
And if you really want the best phone and you can wait, I would go for the highly anticipated XPERIA X10. It's got a large 4.0" touchscreen and is running on Android! The UI is also customized and is soo much better. The phone looks sooo sexy and sleek too!

Or you can go with the Sony Ericsson Aino. It's also part of the Entertainment Unlimited series and has a large touchscreen perfect for watching movies lb rowsing photos and etc. It's got a better 8MP camera and has got also one of the best UI.

FYI, the Satio has a really light weight and has really small difference with the Jet.

what is samsung jet's jetdroid project?
Q. if you know what it is please tell me how it works
A. Its an attempt to load the android phone operating system on the s8000 phone. Alot of users (like me) are annoyed that they got a phone "Smarter than a smart phone" costing £300+ with the same samsung operating system as a £40 phone.
The Jet's hardwear is capable of running a real smart phone operating system, and Google's Android is open source.
So far the project is going slowly due to samsung not helping with the hardware (people need the schematics) but a successfull android system can be loaded onto your phone - you wont be able to use sound/SIM/camera and almost everything else though.
Take a look at their website: http://code.google.com/p/jetdroid/ though the most upto date updates are on forums.

What is the sgh S8000 OS?
Q.
A. The Samsung Jet / S8000 is running TouchWiz 2.0 which is a Samsung developed UI. The device runs Samsung's proprietary operating system for this mobile segment. There's a project to port the device over to Android, but you'll likely violate any warranty left on the device if you try something like that.
