Best place for free applications for an LG Ally Droid?
Q. I just got my first droid, and at a loss as to where to find all those free applications everyone talks about. Nothing I've found so far that's 'free' comes without strings attached. I'm on Verizon, and was lead to believe they have a site with free apps, but I can only find ones you pay for, and now I'm wondering what I'm paying an extra $30 per month for.

A. There are tons of awesome free apps in the android market that you can get. Some might have "strings attached" like being on a trial period but most of the free versions are just add supported. Use your phone to access the android market and check out these:

AK Notepad
ES File Explorer
Movies (Flixster)
Google Sky Map
Places Directory
Google My Tracks
Trap
WordUp
Bebbled
Robo Defense

I have tons of apps and have never paid for one yet. Try these to get started.
