How to transform a rar into an android app?

Q. I downloaded a file from here:http://www.freeware4android.net/google-android-2-1-device-1744/comedy-fun-tag/chuck-norris-jokes-download-25033.html
But the downloaded file is a rar. And android supports only apk files.
So is there a way to convert this file into .apk?

A. Personally if you go to the Android Market or AppBrain, and type in Chuck Norris Jokes, you will get several apps including the one in the rar format.

Would it be possible for phone manufacturers to make removable back covers that support NFC?
Q. Now that Android supports NFC, I would definitely like to have the hardware implemented in my existing phone. I love using NFC with my Debit card, it just speeds things up (not to mention you don't have to wear out your magnetic strip).

A. Technically, yes. Cell phones can be made capable of running just about anything you can imagine, like NFC.

The problem is in licensing. For a phone manufacturer to include options beyond their design limitations they need o incorporate technology from other sources. Those other sources may want an arm and a leg to have their technology included. With constant pressure to keep costs down to make phones affordable, some technology will never be included.

A case in point is the Dick Tracy wrist phone/tv. If you're not familiar, since the 1940's the comic book character Dick Tracy had a wrist phone that had a camera that allowed him to see the person he was calling. That technology is readily available but because of licensing issues, we won't be seeing one anytime soon.
