Q. I am with tmobile but willing to change providers, I love my old palm treo 680, and I am now trying to decide to go with sprint and get the palm pre, go to cingular and get the applie iphone or stay with tmobile and get a G2 when it comes out?
A. for now android is not that gr8 the g1 has v poor battery life and seems like cheap quality build. it lacks proper bluetooth and video recording just like the 1st 2 iphones. it doesnt hv multitouch and has less apps in its apps dtore despite being opens source. advantages of this is that apps do not get blocked like they do with apple, however, sum1 cud cr8 a virus for it easier this way. also android uses 65k colors instead of the standard 262k or even the 16mil now on a few phones. another problem with android is that is hasnt been optimized for any particular phone. in the future some companies r planing to mod/tweak android to better suit their handsets. also last time i checked, it did not come with a video player built in. u cud download 1 from the app store but that was laggy and supported v little codecs.
apple announced the new iphone 3gs which can record video, copy and paste, works faster than iphone 3g, digital compass, better battery life, more memory. it has 1000s of apps to download. if u like playing games or simple easy to use stuff, this is ur phone. if u want a phone with more functionality then get pre. iphone is also the most expensivev out of ur selection costing way over $2000 over 2 yrs.
palm pre has
an app store - eventually it will lots of apps cos its easier to cr8 apps 4 it
it can multitask - u dont appreciate this until u actually try it or know how convenient it can be - steve jobs said iphone cant multitask and probably wont cos it drains battery life to much. answer: just open 1 app at a time if u dont wna drain battery life.
multitouch and gesture area - it has multitouch like iphone (apple didnt invent multitouch) and a gesture area for going back, forward, switch running apps, wave launcher...
it has a smaller screen but its screen has the most dpi out of the phones u hv listed which means it shud give the best image quality
physical keyboard - better than an onscreen keyboard (1st used on palm, copied by apple)
its camera has flash - and will soon be getting video recording capabilities
flash support for web browsing - coming soon. it has a youtube app just like iphone but its not the same as viewing the flash file online - and there r other videos u might find on the internet that r not on youtube. also i think it will be able to play some of the online games.
synergy between apps - say a friend changes their contact number in facebook, palm pre automatically changes the contact number of that person in ur contacts.
also i think the cost of owning a palm pre over 2yrs is the cheapest out of ur selection cos sprint is usually cheap. not sure maybe g2 mite b cheaper tho.
however, if u r gna visit europe dont buy pre cos it uses cdma for now and europe uses gsm. however if u w8 a bit palm wil release a gsm version which will work at at&t and t-mobile unlocked
in conclusion get palm pre (unless u care a lot about customer service which i hear sprint sucks at, but their connections are faster than iphone and cheaper, u cud also w8 for the gsm version). remember u cud get an ipod touch as well (a new 1 will be released soon) and then u hv the games/fun of apple as well as the functionality of palm. get iphone if ur not gna buy an ipod touch and want lots of games/apps - most of which r useless. and dont get g1 or g2 cos android isnt as gud as these 2 just yet.

How to get android to auto install apps to SD card?
Q. How can I get my phone to install downloads from the play store to the MicroSD? I can't download anything over 16.01 MB because that's all the storage I have on my phone but I have 2 GB on my SD and I already moved all the apps I could to the SD
A. The Android phone comes with 3 storage.
1. Phone memory
2. Internal sd memory
3 Eternal sd memory card. (optional)
Now, there are some apps that can not be move or transfer to the internal sd or external sd card because it would stop working or just won't respond.
Have any file manager installed in your Android phone, explore it and go to external sd card, tap it, create a folder named Android, within the Android folder create another folder, name it Data.
Now, go back to the original folders in the file manager, search for Android, Data, and look for the games that you want to transfer, they usually start with com.android.xxxxx, long tap until it prompt you to choose, pick move. This will copy it to the clipboard, go to external sd card, Android Data, and paste it here.
Sometimes you ill see apps or games folder outside of the Android's folder, you can move those also in any place in the external sd card.
Now, before making all these changes, make sure that you had transfer all the games and apps from phone memory to internal sd card, you can do this by downloading an app from the PlayStore, or just use Application in Settings, there should be a rectangle with "Move to SD", tap it.
Hope it works.

How do i download roms for MyBoy on android?
Q. I'm new to android and I'm not sure what works
A. If you are downloading the game on computer and transferring it to your android device Then download Izarc on your computer to extract the ZIP file, then go to coolrom.com click gameboy advance games and download one , next wait for it to finish downloading and right-click, go to open-with and choose izarc. A screen will pop up and then click the extract button something else will pop up just click "open folder after extract" then click the extract button and will it open copy and paste it to your android device plug in the computer and cilck the myboy folder and put the games there and unplug the android device from your computer and your ready to play it. If you are doing everything on your android device then follow this: Download WinZip ( just like izarc but on android) next download a game from coolrom.com( the same way you did on the computer ) and after it finish downloading and then you extract it and when your going to play the game it will be in the Download Folder( mostly likey) and you can play it. And by the way WinZip is google play store.
