should i get the google nexus 7 or the asus transformer prime tablet?

Q. i was thinking about getting a tablet but im having a hard time choosing. the nexus 7 is the newest and has the new android jellybean but the asus transformer prime has an HDMI outlet, micro sd card slot, and is bigger. please answer!? ps: dont say an ipad please!

A. I have the prime and love it. The docking key board is slick, works perfectly, and has it's own battery to recharge the tablet. As for the tablet itself, jelly bean is nice, but ICS is smooth and stable, and completely compatible. Also both cameras work beautifully

What do android updates do to the phone you have?
Q. What exactly do these updates do to the phone?Like the upcoming jellybean update coming soon.

A. Generally, updates to Android fall into 2 major categories: Minor updates like the update from 2.3.2 to 2.3.5 that correct a few bugs, and maybe add a few slight interface changes. Then Major updates like the update from 2.3.5 to 4.0.1 that make many major interface changes, correct many bugs, improve performance, and make the operating system almost completely different. Jelly Bean is kind of both, it is the update from 4.0.4 to 4.1. Jelly Bean only does two MAIN things (among smaller insignificant things). Those two main things are Project Butter, and Google Now. Project Butter makes your phone (or tablet) MUCH faster and smoother. Google Now is like Google's version of Siri, but better.

Can I install any firmware update on my Android Tablet?
Q. I have a pandigital Nova ereader/tablet and there is no new update available for it for Jellybean 4.1, it came running with android 2.3.4 (honeycomb). I found the jellybean firmware .zip package. Can i copy it to my sd card and try to install it? I dont want to damage my device.

A. Do not install. It will void all support from Panadigital. Updates have to be customized for the device.
