Q. When i try to open a document from gmail it says "preview" and I can open it but can't edit it or save it to my phone.
A. It depends on what the file extension is.
You'll want to download/ save the document to your phone to edit it. To open text or html files, there is a file viewer and html files can be opened in the html viewer. The phone is also preinstalled with QuickOffice and you can use it to open word files, excel spreadsheets, xml files and pdf documents.
However, I found the Documents 2 go. Word, Excel-like, Slideshow, and PDF programs. It was $14.99 but it was worth it to me. There is also GDocs (free) if you use Google Documents & want to sync your stuff there. Below are the links to those apps. Scan the QR Code (2d barcode) with "barcode scanner" and it will take you to the apps in the market (I love this feature).

A. Yes I have the Nexus S 4G also on Sprint and if you have it rooted you need no cables just go to this URL and use a barcode scanner like google shopper to get it https://www.google.com/chart?chs=150x150&cht=qr&chl=http://android-wifi-tether.googlecode.com/files/wifi_tether_v3_1-beta14.apk&chld=L|1&choe=UTF-8 then it will start downloading and install the app and you now have wifi tetheryou need no wires
What is the best feature of the Google G1?
Q. I would like to know if i should buy this phone or not
help me by telling me one feature about the phone thats amazing.
help me by telling me one feature about the phone thats amazing.
A. The G1 is a smartphone with a number of new Android apps.
Some "cool apps" are :
Key Ring
Save money and space in your wallet with the app that stores all your reward cards, saving cards, and membership cards in your phone.
Car Mode
Keep your ride safer with a one-click switch to speakerphone. When you get in your car, just tap the icon, and all calls received or dialed will automatically go to speakerphone.
Voice Text
Using Google voice recognition built into your G1, Voice Text lets you dictate the contents of your texts or e-mails without typing a single key.
Express News
Real news. Real time. Get instant access to over 300 news channels on the mobile Web without the hassle of a browser-and it's FREE.
Barcode Scanner
Scan every barcode imaginable, then jump to your browser to search for the items or text them to a friend. Also, you can scan QR codes that link to Android apps and more.
If you want a phone with good battery life, this is definitely not the phone for you. If you have GPS and Wifi and 3G and all the bells and whistles turned on and you're using the phone constantly, you'll probably only get four or five hours of use out of it.The phone's main positives for me: bright, high contrast, high definition screen; real keyboard; sensitive (capacitive) touch screen; well designed operating system; mostly well designed software; easy syncing with Google; infinite possibilities; easy to use; fun to write software for it.
