Why does the iphone 5 battery last so long despite its capacity?

Q. The iphone 5 battery lasts so long my friends used his iphone and played games for like an hour and the phone had been running to 84% and on standby for 4 hours whereas my android phone was on standby and the screen was only switched on for 16 minutes and the battery % 86 and it had been on standyby for four hours. My phone capacity is 2150 mah - lg optimus 4x hd. My friend had told me that the iphone battery lasts longer as its cpu clock speed is lower and is dual core whereas mine is quad core. Furthermore, the iphone 5 cpu is built in with the chip and so the OS does not have to find the cpu whereas in mine it is the opposite, just wondering is this true? And why does the iphone 5 have such a great battery life?

A. that is part of the answer....

the last part of it is your personalization and customization settings for push notifications/widgets/etc etc etc etc... Iphones have limitations when it comes to these. IOS is made THIS WAY and Apple doesnt care if their customers like it or not. Its a closed system based off Unixware. Less power drain. Android does care. Its open system based off Linux. And can increase and decrease its ROM functionality at your choice. Therefore more power is used..... also, screen size. The 5 only has 4in screen. The LG is way bigger than that... hence more power.... you already explained the cores...... other than different radio technologies and manufacturuers and hardwares, thats pretty much it....

think of it like a car.... The Iphone 5 is a Honda Civic.... Your phone is a Toyota Tundra SUV....... who do you think will save on gas costs??? the smaller car!

What are your favourite applications for your android?
Q. Give me ten please...and tell me the application's purpose briefly next to it...thanks
