A. Hi.The one disadvantage that most of the android phones have are the battery life. Battery life is usually bad/poor. There are ways to fix that of course.

A. The Android OS is consider the most OPEN. The drawbacks, is no uniformity and fragmentation updates.
Apple is very closed OS because that's pretty much how they always play. Apple also has the inconveniences to try to get the users hooked and locked into their ecosystem which isn't that amazing especially for Windows PC users.
Blackberry has always cared more about data encryption and to this day has much more security. Open or closed systems don't mean more secure just mean how much Manufacturers and Carriers can modify the OS.
Windows is not as open as Android. Not as closed as Apple. Windows has multiple manufactures however Windows has strict guidelines for minimum requirements the phone MUST have. Their App market is growing at a faster rate than Iphone or Android market did. Also Windows phone has more integration with Windows computer which for me is a big seller.
You might like the Nokia Lumia 900 when it gets release in the US. Performances isn't all about the specs. Android for some reason managed to hype people up about their specs. When taking pictures is not all about the MP, when talking about cellphone performance is not all about the duo cores.
I do not know why some people say that Apple OS is more secure it is not. None of the phones are anywhere near as secure as the BlackBerry. Blackberry>WIndows/Apple>Android

My vote goes for wp8 since improvement is huge they had rectified pretty much all complaints with earlier platform.android jellybean is also decent update.

All 3 have had quite many improvements. Specially WP8.
iOS has reshaped almost all of their basic apps. From Store to Maps. All has been changed. Its pretty neat too. Maps, Siri on iPad 3, Passbook, better notifications, Facebook integration, its good.
Jelly Bean has had minor updates. Little bit tweaking here and there. Its fine. But fragmentation, the biggest mess. Only 7% of all Android users are using ICS and they've already added JB now.
WP8 was the most impressive of them all. They've reshaped it completely, making it a better experience.
My list on which is better:
1) WP8
2) iOS 6
3) JB 4.1
