What is the best and cheapest touch phone?
Q. I need a gaming phone that is made to play, durable in case of dropped, large amount of memory, and has a keyboard
A. Do you mean smart phone? What carrier? If you do mean a smart phone go for an android os with at least a dual core. I enjoy my galxy s2(not that exspensive, free with contract). There are many many great phones out there. But honestly i wouldnt go for iphone i used to have one and it sucked. If you are worried about keyboards, you could always buy a blue tooth one off of amazon, ebay, or electronic stores.
What is the best phone in verizon?
Q. I want a phone that is touch screen and a keyboard, it doesn't matter if its a slider or anything just need to have one and I would like a pretty nice camera. Is there anything else besides the droid that is good?
A. Cellphone cameras suck, no matter how many MP they're rated with. Only the really expensive smartphones phones have good ones. I have a BB Curve, and it's camera sucks - and it's a smartphone.
Droids are also smartphones and they're expensive - pricey plans, with high ET fees and insurance deductibles - that's a hefty price just to have "a pretty nice camera".
You're best bet is to go to Verizon's site - you can select phones by features; then read the user reviews for those phones.
I have the Samsung Reality - it's got a slide-out qwerty keyboard and a touch screen - nothing fancy, but it's compact, plays music and 3G2 video. Camera's nothing special but the phone itself is more reliable than the Voyager it replaced. Pretty much all qwerty keyboards are slide-out.
The EnV Touch is "lateral clamshell" but it's got horrible user reviews on Verizon's own site - only like 2-3 stars!!! I wanted to get the EnV Touch (becuase it looked like a cool upgrade of the Voyager), but it was so much more expensive then the Reality, and I'd just gotten a new iPod, so I felt guilty about spending an extra $100 (this was before I'd read the reviews).
I don't know why one of the answers suggested you wait for a Verizon iPhone when you saud you wanted a keyboard.
The likelihood of a Verizon iPhone becoming available in the next several months is hardly a sure bet. It's not impossible but it basically asks you to assume several things for no particular reason.
1) The AT&T exclusivity agreement is coming to an end - possible, but why do people just assume that this is so?
2) If iPhone goes up for grabs - Verizon gets it. Why? The iPhone uses GSM unlike Verizon's CDMA; there are other GSM carriers in the US, smaller carriers that would be more pliable to an AT&T centred agreement. Verizon is larger and more powerful - they don't need the iPhone desperately enough to agree to Apple's likely stiff demands. The only reason people have settled on Verizon is because VZ is so large that wish fulfillment is also largescale.
so if you need a phone now, then an iPhone may not be the optimal choice,
Also, does Apple still hope to sell iPhones through AT&T? Not likely given that much of the hype behind the story shows how unhappy AT&T customers are with their service. They'll sell new Verizon iPhones - many to AT&T iPhone owners. That is, AT&T will build a new customer base by largely cannibalizing the old one. Verizon will probably do the same with existing and potential Android owners, who will now have a reason to ditch the burgening class of phones in favor of an iPhone. Android has easily benefitted from the fact that many people choose against an iPhone because none are available for their carrier. My guess is that Verizon would prefer to sell fewer phones if they can otherwise do their part to build Android as a genuine alternative to iPhone.
3) if Verizon gets the iPhone, you'll be able to get one in the next few months. Unlikely - unless there's already a CDMA iPhone already in existence. A CDMA iPhone would strengthen the case, but not nail it - since there's still a large number of users of CDMA phones in China - a growing market.
