Q. I just got the Pantech Crossover and I'm not a huge fan of the "peel the sticker" feature. Is there a way to enable Android's generic unlock sequence, or change it to something different? If so, how do you do it?

A. Well I am an apple hater but I'll try to not be biased on these one.
First what you should think is to access your self!
Are you the person who is the techie type? Do you know a lot about specs, apps and features?
Or are you the person who loves fashion/style?
The advantages of having an Apple Iphone is that, developers love it and as a result, they do have a lot of better apps compared to the two android devices your still selecting (Verizon DROID and Kindle Fire)
Another plus factor for an Iphone is its amazing design and since many people in volumes use the Iphone, many companies make beautiful covers, cases and stickers for your phone. So in short you don't just get your phone fancy but also protected!
The disadvantages of having an Apple Iphone and most of it's products excluding apple's mac is it is so anti-piracy that they won't allow you to share your images, videos and music via Bluetooth. Another disappointment is that you should only use your personal computer to transfer games, apps, music etc. to your phone. Which means you can't borrow your friend's laptop to copy their files to that phone since it will completely remove every file music, app, games which is installed on it after you've installed new apps, music on it. For short it will overwrite the files of your phone if you did not use your personal computer.
A plus disappointment for the iphone is that it doesn't have the adobe flash player on it since Steve Jobs doesn't want that on their products. So the catch here is that you can't play your Facebook games on that phone or watch videos from your phone's web browser.

Paid pplications for the android are easily to be downloaded freely (pirately) and installed on the android devices without the need of hacking (jail breaking) the phone (on a positive note).
Another disadvantage is that since there are many android devices, fashion or novelty companies looks only for those mostly sold phones. Which means you have less options to select many cute phone covers since the Iphone still has a lot of sales globally.
If I were to chose among the Iphone, Verizon Droid or a Kindle Fire, I will choose the kindle fire because it is a tablet compared to the two phones. I suggest, if you are the budget conscious type of person, chose a nice ATNT phone. If ATNT offers an android devices then get it!

I have just switched to iPhone from Android and I will tell you my personal pro's and con's and reasons on why I made the change.
The reason I made the switch to iPhone is 100% based on the quality of the product that they produce. The OS is nice and simple and bottom line the phone works when I need it to.
My experience with Android OS was love at first swype (lol), there are many great things that you can do with Android phones out the package without needing to jailbreak. Like live wallpapers, changing themes, not needing to have all you icons on the home screen and having the ability to expand your available memory.
My biggest complaint with Android always seemed to be that they release so many phones so many updates that within a few months your os is 2 updates outdated and the craftmanship although nice in the beginning always seems to start failing after a few months. In addition on many of my Android phone trials I always have one problem not being able to make calls when I want all the time.
Androids Likes:
-Multiple Home screens
-Actual Menu so not every icon is on the home screen, not aligned to a specific grid
-Flash on web
-Google integrated beautifully, Siri is nice but google search/voice control was a winner since the beginning.
-Expandable memory
-Out the box can create a phone that is uniquely you without jailbreak
-removable battery (on some not all devices)
- Notification Bar...My one biggest feature that I miss since I left.
Cons:
- Updates and frequency of new phone releases
-It is so open that you are susceptible to viruses and such
-Force Close issues
iPhone Pros:
-Build Quality and Craftsmanship
- App Store and iTunes top notch
-Phones works whenever I need it to
-Excellent selection of cases and accessories (docks, home button stickers etc)
Cons:
-no expandable memory
-pretty much standard no major OS design updates (I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it)
-No widgets :(
These are my Pros and Cons, if I think of more I will come and edit my answer.
