how to run apps in full screen on samsung galaxy tab?

Q. I have a samsung galaxy tab running android 2.2, as you know, it is an upscaled version of the OS, and some apps that are designed for the smaller screen version of the OS, wont open in full screen. when the apps open, it matches the smaller screen size and there is a black border around it. I was wondering if there are any apps or ways to run them in full screen. thanks.

A. You have to download Spare Parts from the market and install it.
Open and scroll down til you see Compatibility mode. Uncheck it, and recheck it back.
Reboot your device.
After rebooting, go back to Spare Parts and scroll to Compatibility mode, and uncheck it again. (Do not recheck.)
Reboot the device.
And you're all set! :D

I was having the same problem days ago.

Can the Samsung galaxy tab be "reformatted" to its factory setting?
Q. I'm planning to buy a second hand samsung galaxy tab but I want to know if it could be reformatted to its original factory setting without the previous owners files. I'm not familiar with the android 2.2 system and all information on how to do it will be welcomed.

A. yes you can, here are the steps: settings -> privacy -> factory data reset.
it will delete any customized application, and restore all settings to it original.
but it will not delete:
- your data on micro sd card
- other folder / files in the root drive (not as clean as you thougt), but dont worry this will not affect any system performance.
hope that helps :)

How do I connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 up to my PS3?
Q. Usually when I connect my android phone, it comes up staright away, but my Galaxy Tab doesnt appear. In the 'settings' I have it set as 'media device'. What should I do?

A. you plug the usb-device into the ps3, and if it doesn't work you should try to check if the usb cable is not broken ;P
