A. I assume you've already downloaded the ADT and SDK installation.

http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

It pretty much walks you through everything. Install all the samples using the Android SDK Manager. The guide to using it is slightly outdated because some of the menu options have changed.

The few key things to know ....

Window > Android SDK Manager

-- This is where the Android SDK Manager is located. It's self-explanatory
-- what you can do here.

Cntrl + N

-- That is the shortcut to open/create a new project. If you are learning how
-- to program Android applications using the Sample projects, you will need
-- open those Sample projects using
--
-- Cntrl + N > Android Sample Project
--
-- You don't want to this, because it won't open the Sample projects.
--
-- File > Open File

how do i open a EPUD file?
Q. I am tring to down load a ereader book and it tell me windows can not open this file (EPUD file)

A. EPUB FILES (Electronic PUBlishing)
You need e-book reader. Any e-book reader will do it.
EPUB files can be opened by many kinds of eBook readers. EPUB files can also be opened on a PC with the Adobe Digital Editions program and many other eBook reader programs
Here are some of them - all free downloads - just left click links and download:
Stanza

Adobe Digital Edition
http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/
Kindle
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000426311&tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=7178045587&ref=pd_sl_95y2ig22hz_b
Any should do the job - my favourite is Stanza
These are all ereaders for pc - if you want to read epub format on iPhone or Android phone go to their application store and do the free download for phone version.

Windows can download epub files but can't open them. You need ebook reader for that.
