There was an update it said I needed to do, so it shut down my phone and all I've been seeing for the past half hour is the android mascot with a yellow exclamation point inside a white triangle above it. What does that mean? This is the first update I had to do since I recently got my phone. Is it supposed to take this long or did my phone freeze? Should I keep waiting or is there any way I can reset it?
A. No take the battery out put it back in and turn it on and start the update again lol and the little icon is ok but I think it might have froze

2. Open the keyboard and press the X key while pressing and holding Power. The device will power on. Keep holding the buttons down until a yellow triangle appears.
3. Press the Camera and Volume Up buttons at the same time to get to the menu.
4. Use the direction pad to the right of the keyboard to select the Format option

How can i get into my g1 account without internet?
Q. my g1 has locked me out from pressing to many wrong codes, i don't have the user ID and password but i can create a new one...the only thing is, i don't have internet...can i get around it???

A. A Factory Reset may be the answer you need:
1. press and hold the End Call (far right) button for a few seconds,
2. Select Power off from the options displayed.
3, Wait 30 seconds
4. Hold the Home button and End Call button down at the same time for 20 seconds. G1 will appear and then a triangle with a yellow exclamation mark in it.
5. Open the key board and pres ALT-W at the same time. The screen changes to a different symbol, then G1 then android logo then PIN enter
6. Enter your PIN and set up as you did originally
