How to import photos on Android?

Q. Whenever I plug the USB cord in, it imports ALL the pictures, as in, every image on my phone like the background, album covers, icons, everything. I just want the pictures in the Gallery though. I clicked on Computer and Removable Disk which contains all the contents on my phone but there's none for the photos.

Help?

A. Gonna need more information. Like, specifically, what kind of phone and what kind of sync software you are using.

Will I still get the OTA update from Verizon if I manually installed Android 2.1 on my Droid?
Q. Just wondering if i will get this OTA update because I want the 5 homescreens.

A. Sorry to break the bad news for you, but the 2.1 update ended up NOT having extra screens. 2.1 still only has 3. An alternative is for you to download the free app called HelixLauncher. Helix replaces the stock home screen, and you can have a total of 7 home screens. It's also really nice because it has a "power bar" with 4 set icons at the bottom for you to put your most important things on, and they will show on all screens. I'm running Helix on my Droid with the 2.1 update, and it works perfectly. I would recommend BEFORE you set anything up, go to the menu, and choose to change from 3 screens to 7 screens. You don't need to use them all, but that way if you do decide to, you won't have to delete all your widgets & shortcuts to change it, as when you change the number of screens, you have to do this.

Also, if you do utilize lots of screens, turn on "double tap" - then, if you double tap on any screen, it will pull up images of all your screens, and you just tap on the one you want, instead of swiping through screens to get to it

NOTE: if you decide on Helix, make sure to download HelixLauncher, NOT!!! HelixLauncher2. Helix2 is for Nexus One only, and if you put it on your droid, it will go into a continuous force close loop, and you would have to reboot your Droid in safe mode, and uninstall it. Also, do NOT attempt to change the number of screens without clearing them all off beforehand. :)
